Interview with Itxaso del Castillo Aira
Reflections on horror movies, monsters and found footage
Abstract
In this interview, Itxaso del Castillo Aira recounts his experiences specializing in the topic of cinematographic and television horror; strictly speaking, it refers to the audiovisual technique of found footage. Movies like The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity and REC have developed this resource to emerge an impression of realism in the plot of these feature films at the time of being projected. As well as this technique, the researcher will propose other current categories, such as those of monsters or films based on a horror noire. In this way, it is recorded that this conversation will allow readers to have a deeper understanding of this subject of terror, which captivates many.
